We are called to be Community, a fraternal gathering of brothers and sisters. We are called to be Family, the family of  the Church. We should learn and bear in mind that the two biggest structural basis and roots of the society are emotional and spiritual: the Family and the Faith. We are in a real need of vocations in the Church of God, Holy and Catholic. When we do talk about vocation, people often tend to think about the Priesthood, Sisterhood or Brotherhood. But it is not only that. There is also the Matrimony. And the biggest vocation that everyone is called for: the vocation to holiness. In regards to that there is a wonderful quotation from Saint John Paul II. He used to say: 'The christian vocation is holiness, in every moment of life. In the spring of young age, in the full summer of mature age, after that in the autumn and winter of old age, and lastly, in the hour of death'. Saint Paul states the same calling to holiness on his letter to the Thessalonians, "God wills you all to be holy(...). God called us to be holy." One of the biggest problems of this crazy century we are living at the moment that occurs even in the middle of Christians and Catholics (if not mainly in their midst) is what we define by the word ADDICTION. Wikipedia defines it as 'a brain disorder characterized by compulsive engagement in rewarding stimuli despite adverse consequences.' In other words it is a false necessity that is created either to fulfill a big loss, to compensate a big pain or to relief a big tension and distress. It is something so terrible which a person give herself to until the point where they cannot claim themselves back unless with a miraculously will or with the help of others. You must have a family member, or a friend, or know someone, or even heard about of someone who is on this stage. Per tradition or per habit millions of people around the world call themselves Catholics. The truth is not all of those are actually Catholics, nor Christians, nor anything alike that. They are pagans! They are Catholics on the husk, on the hull, on the bark, but inside they are nothing. They have no faith in God, but only in themselves. I was going to be aborted by my mom with the same thought that led many women to do the same thinking about their pregnancy with 100% of excuses and 0% of responsibility. My case was similar to many others: my mom was just a 24 years old "wee girl" and could not manage to raise a kid by herself.
